See examples of how a content item is entered once, and is displayed on several lists: Events are shown on the homepage, Events list, and on the Volunteer page. News items are shown on separate audience lists. Enter a news story and add categories.
See the admin area of Sitefinity to create a content item by entering the information to fields and adding a category of 'volunteer'. See how the item now shows on the homepage, events list, and volunteer page.
Video 3: [9:25 minutes] Pages vs Content items. Pages differ from Content Types in these main ways:
A. Choosing where information
shows: Pages are added to specific areas in the navigation. And although Lists of content items are added to specific pages, the individual content items are listed on pages (not listed in navigation).
B. How information is entered and how information is displayed. Pages have much flexibility. See the editing of a page and changing the layout to include 3 columns. See the different widgets available for page builds. But Content items are stamped into their templates to give a uniform display. See examples of those different display templates. See the editing of a content item's fields.
