Foulkeways at Gwynedd is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to assist in the day-to-day functions of Human Resources for our beautiful, and quite busy, life plan community.

As the Senior Human Resources Generalist, you will assist with the development and implementation of effective Human Resource policies, programs and processes in support of both employees and management. This position provides guidance and support in many areas, including, but not limited to, recruitment/selection, team member complaint investigation/response, performance management, and leave/benefit administration.

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is expected to work with operations management to develop and implement positive culture building programs, employee appreciation/recognition, employee safety initiatives, workers compensation/return to work actions and proactive member communications. Along with the other members of the HR team, this professional will provide guidance to management on Human Resource policy, Federal, State and local laws and regulations and corrective actions.

Additionally, the Senior HR Generalist will act as a trusted advisor to both employees and management, while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws. This position serves as a subject matter expert on all aspects of human resources and represents the HR department with excellent customer service both for interdepartmental and external sources.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Position Include, but are not limited to,:

  • Development and follow-through of entire recruitment process from the development of job postings to the onboarding/orientation of new employees.
  • Partners with the CHRO to manage the leave and accommodation process including developing processes, maintaining employee communication and follow up, tracking leaves, and other tasks as needed.
  • Leading the Safety Committee and related initiatives.
  • Processes all accident reports including: recording accident reports on appropriate logs; submitting appropriate reports to the third-party administrator; monitor worker's compensation claims and provide support and needed information to employee, supervisor, third party administrator and physicians.
  • Participate in the Unemployment Compensation process including attending hearings when applicable.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of effective training and development programs to meet position requirements, skill proficiency and development needs.
  • Handles benefit administration to include developing/maintaining/communicating Open Enrollment process, directing employees where to seek assistance with benefit-related issues, coordinating with the individual benefit vendors and monthly billing reconciliations.
  • Conduct investigations and respond to employee complaints.
  • Conduct and participate in the interactive accommodation process with staff members.
  • Organizes annual Open Enrollment for all eligible team members, as well as communicates benefit options to new hires and newly eligible staff.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field, required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare organization, preferred
  • Knowledge of government regulations as they apply to employment law and situations.
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel and HRIS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to make presentations to all levels of management staff.
