Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, is seeking a proactive, licensed Administrator (Nursing Home Administrator / NHA) for our 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and 20-bed Short Term Rehabilitation Center.

The Administrator (NHA) provides effective oversight and management for the Skilled Nursing Facility and the Short Term Rehabilitation Center.  The Administrator leads and manages staff, in conjunction with the Directors of Nursing and RN Supervisors; oversees Skilled Care operations; works with the Vice President of Health Services and the Directors of Nursing to ensure the highest-quality clinical care, social services, and related services for Residents; ensures regulatory compliance.  

The Administrator will maintain a thorough understanding of PA and federal regulations applicable to Skilled Nursing Facilities, and will ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including Department of Health, CMS, and HIPAA regulations.  The Administrator proactively works to ensure staff are always “survey ready”. 

The Administrator serves as a member of the Brethren Village leadership team, helping to define, implement, and evaluate the organization’s strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Valid PA Nursing Home Administrator’s License (NHA)

In-depth knowledge of PA Department of Health, CMS, and HIPAA regulations applicable to a Skilled Nursing Facility

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, social services, or a related field, or a nursing degree

At least 7 years of related experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, including management experience:

--Effective leadership and supervisory skills; experience leading, developing, and supervising a large team

--Experience managing a department or program and budgets

A process improvement orientation: the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements; a record of implementing enhancements to processes, policies, and procedures

A service orientation; proven ability to collaborate with others

Ability and willingness to provide effective training, coaching, and oversight for CNA's and Nurses, and to work collaboratively with all staff

Excellent organization skills; the ability to efficiently coordinate own work and the work of others

Effective communication and presentation skills; comfort with public speaking (facilitating meetings and training sessions)

Dependability /ability to meet attendance standards; ability and willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends when needed; willingness to serve on-call

Solid computer skills: ability to access web sites and efficiently use web-based applications, databases, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

The ability to quickly and safely assist Residents during emergency evacuations and other emergency situations; the ability to direct the activities of others, including during urgent or emergency situations

The ability to form positive and supportive relationships with Residents, their family members, and staff, and to consistently provide exceptional service to others
