The Hill at Whitemarsh is thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art Memory Care Center within our five-star Continuing Care Retirement Community in Lafayette Hill, PA. We are seeking a passionate Memory Care Director to lead our exceptional team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
· Create a Warm, Homelike Environment: Foster a compassionate atmosphere where residents can engage in enriching activities.
· Lead and Inspire: Provide supervision, coaching, recognition, and performance evaluations for all memory care staff.
· Ensure Quality Care: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of high-quality resident services, ensuring satisfaction for residents, families, and team members.
· Efficient Scheduling: Manage staff schedules for 24/7 service delivery while adhering to budget constraints.
· Support Families: Offer continuous support to resident families, friends, and significant others throughout their journey.
· Effective Communication: Maintain frequent communication with family members.
· Budget Management: Understand and manage the department’s budget effectively.
· Conduct Tours: Lead tours of the Memory Care Unit for prospective residents and families.
· Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in dementia care.
· Survey Readiness: Ensure the team is always prepared for surveys.
Qualifications
Requirements:
· Valid Pennsylvania Assisted Living Administrators License.
· Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Health Care Administration, or a related field, or a Nursing (LPN, RN) license.
· At least 3 years of relevant management experience in an Assisted Living, Personal Care, or Memory Care facility.
· Proven track record of implementing process enhancements and achieving departmental goals.
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate work efficiently.
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in web-based applications, databases, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Ability to assist residents quickly and safely during emergencies and direct others in urgent situations.
· Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with residents, their families, and staff, consistently promoting exceptional care and service.
