Director of Nursing

A FOUR-STAR Rated 163 bed Nursing Facility and CCRC in Northeast PA is looking for a knowledgeable, experienced Director of Nursing.  Must have 2-5 years’ experience. This is a salaried position. The current DON is retiring. The facility is Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center, Montoursville PA.

The DON is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The DON directs and facilitates resident care delivery systems within the assigned areas of responsibility in such a way as to exemplify the Mission, Vision, and Values of this not-for-profit facility and facilitates an environment of professional, collaborative practice. The DON is responsible for the total leadership and management of the nursing department. The DON is an integral partner of the administrative team and plays an important role in driving the overall success of the facility.
