Kairos Health Systems, Inc. (Kairos) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Contracting and Network Specialist to be responsible for facilitating the relationships between Kairos Member Communities and Managed Care Organizations, and Health Plans.

This is a primarily remote position. However, candidate should currently reside in PA, NJ, MD, Northern VA, Eastern Ohio, or Delaware.

A premier partner in the post-acute and senior care space, Kairos works with healthcare providers to ensure members are included in payer networks, receive the highest payment and outcomes and benefit from enhanced efficiencies. In addition, Kairos supports members through consulting and educational services, improving financial and operational performance and driving quality health outcomes for the populations they serve. Kairos is a subsidiary of LeadingAge PA, and currently serves 120 plus members across 7 states.

Reporting to the Vice President, the Contracting and Network Specialist is responsible for maintaining and enhancing all managed care contracts, optimizing contract negotiation to obtain the best contract terms, and acting as an advisor and facilitator for Kairos members and clients. Other duties will include: conducting training sessions, assuring that proper process is followed and proper payment received for all managed care patient/resident encounters, using data matrices to support positive outcomes to members, serving as a liaison to identify needs and opportunities within the system and present members with proposals for financial, clinical or operational engagements.

  • Willingness to travel to, attend and present at various conferences
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationship with payers and external contacts
  • Ability to improve provider network efficiencies through the identification of cost and quality outliers and the establishment of interventions designed to improve performance
  • Strong analytical skills in order to evaluate member services and processes and develop solutions to meet identified needs
  • Comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, medical terminology, managed care, and laws and regulations related to services provided to residents
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, client management systems, and social media web platforms

Qualifications

Minimum Educational/Professional Qualifications

  • Associates degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Five years of experience in the healthcare industry preferred with familiarity with skilled nursing and post-acute care regulation and understanding of Medicare and Medicaid coverage
  • Financial acumen
  • Individual should currently reside in PA, NJ, MD, Northern VA, Eastern Ohio, or Delaware
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
