We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Business Office Manager to join our team and help manage the operational and administrative functions of our healthcare facility.

Position Overview:
The Business Office Manager will oversee all aspects of the business office operations in a Continuum of Care healthcare setting. This role includes supervising billing, collections, payroll, benefits and the management of patient and payer relations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a strong background in healthcare administration, finance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the business office, including billing, coding, payroll, and collections.
  • Manage the billing cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer contracts and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee resident accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely payment.
  • Work closely with the business office team to ensure accurate documentation for billing and reimbursement.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers, government payers (Medicare/Medicaid), and private payers to resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyze billing data, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring the business office operates smoothly and cost-effectively.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to office staff, ensuring proper training and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the facility's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid billing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior management to address operational challenges and streamline business office processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare business office management role, preferably in a Continuum of Care setting (skilled nursing, home health, personal care etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement processes, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in the use of healthcare management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
