LeadingAge PA Partners with Elizabethtown College and Saint Joseph’s University, Expanding Aging Services Career Advancement Initiative
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (November 20, 2024)—LeadingAge PA proudly announces Elizabethtown College and Saint Joseph’s University as its newest Career Growth Partners: educational institutions that provide opportunities for more accessible education, up-to-date and relevant curricula and assistance with facilitating career development to staff of the Association's member communities.
“With this collaborative and multifaceted strategy, we are empowering professional caregivers in the aging services sector, creating new pathways for their career growth, and helping ensure they have the support needed to continue delivering high-quality care,” said LeadingAge PA President and CEO Garry Pezzano. “Furthermore, it addresses the ongoing workforce crisis in long-term care, enabling our members to confidently tackle challenges and continue delivering exceptional care to older adults in Pennsylvania.”
Elizabethtown College offers LeadingAge PA member staff, their spouses, and dependents a 15% discount on a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in online business, education, and healthcare. The programs within its graduate and professional studies are geared toward working adults with the motivation to go back to school and get their degrees. It understands the need for flexible programs that can fit into an individual’s already busy life.
