White Horse Village Foundation Awards Team Members $41,900 in Scholarships
(Newtown Square, Pa.) — White Horse Village residents recognize the invaluable contributions of team members by supporting their educational aspirations with scholarships. This month, 25 deserving recipients will receive awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,200 for their post-secondary education this fall.
The White Horse Village Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization, has long prioritized education for team members since 1997, when it established the Employee Scholarship Fund. To date, nearly $600,000 in financial assistance has been awarded. Contributions to the fund come from the senior living community's residents and their families, as well as team members, board members, and business partners.
"Our team members are the heart of White Horse Village, and their dedication and hard work help to make our community truly special,” remarks Bud Billups, resident and Chair of the White Horse Village Foundation. “By investing in their futures, we acknowledge the vital roles they serve and also help them achieve their dreams. This year’s recipients exemplify the spirit of continuous learning and personal growth that we cherish in our community."
The scholarship recipients work in a range of capacities throughout White Horse Village, including dining, healthcare, housekeeping, administration and more. The names, hometowns, educational institutions and areas of study of the most recent recipients are as follows:

The Foundation continues the original purpose of the fund to provide financial assistance to residents who experience financial difficulty, so they can remain in their homes. It also supports campus improvements, special activities, and scholarships for team members.
