LeadingAge PA CEO Garry Pezzano named to  Governor-elect Shapiro's health and human services transition advisory committee

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Dec. 14, 2022) – LeadingAge PA President & CEO Garry Pezzano has been named to Governor-Elect Josh Shapiro’s transition team as a member of the Health and Human Services Transition Advisory Committee. Pezzano will be working on the Seniors/Elder Care Subcommittee. The committee is being chaired by Dr. Alyn E. Waller, Senior Pastor at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church.  

 

“I want to thank Governor-Elect Shapiro for including LeadingAge PA on this important transition advisory committee,” Pezzano said. “Our association represents more than 370 mission-driven aging services providers that care for thousands of seniors across the commonwealth. We believe that Pennsylvanians deserve the best long-term care system in America, and look forward to working with Governor-Elect Shapiro, Lt. Governor-Elect Austin Davis, Dr. Waller, and members of the committee to devise a plan that will move us toward the future and ensure access to care for all older Pennsylvanians.” 

 

Governor-Elect Shapiro will be sworn in as the commonwealth’s 48th governor on Jan. 17, 2023.
