LeadingAge PA welcomes new board chair and board members
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (June 21, 2021) - LeadingAge PA announced Jim Pieffer, senior vice president and incoming president and CEO of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network, as the chair of the board of directors, as well as five new board members.
Joining the Association's board are Mark Bondi, president of UPMC Senior Communities; Frank Dermody, former Pennsylvania House of Representatives Minority Leader; Brian Levesque, executive director of Granite Farms Estates - ACTS Retirement-Life Communities; Mary Kay McMahon, president and CEO of Fellowship Community; and Scott Stevenson, president and CEO of Phoebe Ministries.
Pieffer brings more than 36 years of experience in affordable housing and long-term care to the LeadingAge PA Board of Directors, and has served on several national and state committees for assisted living and affordable housing and services. He also assumes the president and CEO position of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network in September.
Bondi has worked for UPMC for 21 of his more than 30 years in long-term care and health care administration, and is licensed as both an attorney and nursing home administrator in Pennsylvania.
Dermody served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 15 consecutive terms, representing the 33rd District. From 2010-2020, he served as the Minority Leader of the House and led important efforts for health care in Pennsylvania.
Levesque has served more than 15 years in various leadership roles in long-term care. He is a licensed nursing home administrator, a certified personal care home administrator, and certified assisted living administrator with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Bureau of Human Services Licensing, as well as a certified aging services professional (CASP).
McMahon has a wealth of experience in the health care industry, having held various senior positions in long-term care communities after beginning her career as a nurse. She also serves on the Lehigh County Aging and Adult Services Advisory Council and Pennsylvania Council on Aging.
Stevenson held the position of chief financial officer and vice president of financial operations in long-term care communities before his current appointment as president and CEO. He has also served on several other national and regional boards.
