Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Lead

Tonya Miller PT, DPT, Ph.D. is the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Lead at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. In this role, Tonya coordinates program curriculum, accreditation, and student success. Her professional interests include Equitable Healthcare, Healthcare Management, Leadership, and Clinical Professional Development.

In addition to her role at Harrisburg University, Tonya is the founder of TYM Coaching. With over 25 years of executive leadership skills and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, Tonya combines real-world experience with academic expertise. She tailors her leadership coaching and educational programs to fit any individual or organization, from coaching front-line healthcare providers to educating others in her Leadership Academy. Tonya is passionate about personal growth and developing strong leadership cores that are committed to integrity, accountability, and self-awareness.

Finally, Tonya believes in community engagement and actively volunteers in communi ty and professional organizations. She serves on local and national boards, including the American Physical Therapy Association’s PT Proud Special Interest Group, Cumberland & Perry County Domestic Violence Shelter, and PA Vent Camp, a camp for ventilator-dependent children, of which she is the Executive Director.
