Fellowship Community
Executive Director of Professional Development

Kristen Cuenca has been a registered nurse for almost 30 years, working as an advanced practice RN since 1998. Well-versed with quality improvement and best practice initiatives, she has also gained experience working in various settings as a clinical nurse specialist and educator—holding two prior board certifications, case manager, and expert witness.

Cuenca enjoys using her nursing experience in the various roles key to the advanced practice registered nurse skill set, including nursing education, leadership, communication, ethical/legal issues, practice and process improvement, technology, and program and project management for acute care and long term care settings. Central to her role as executive director of professional development at Fellowship Community is the evaluation of current clinical practice and the education of nurses and healthcare professionals, which she supports with evidence-based policy/practice.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, she earned her Master of Science in nursing, with a specialization in nursing education, from Barry University. In addition, Cuenca is board certified in nursing professional development through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
