For the first time in more than 25 years, the Officer of Inspector General (OIG) released its first set of compliance guidelines for nursing homes. Issued in late 2024, the Industry-Specific Compliance Program Guidance (ISCPG) follows the General Compliance Program Guidance (GCPG) that was published in late 2023 and introduces changes that providers must address regarding the utilization of a risk assessment to guide compliance practices, the incorporation of resident safety and quality as essential elements, enhanced oversight and leadership expectations, the role of the compliance officer and more.

To assist, this session highlights these updates and provides practical approaches to establishing a comprehensive program that meets compliance expectations.
