Join JKJ and ECRI for an evidence-based exploration of the critical issues surrounding long working hours for nursing staff in senior living. They will discuss the inherent risks associated with extended shifts and their impact on staff well-being and resident care. Through an investigation of case studies highlighting adverse events linked to overworked nurses and aides, They will illustrate the real-world consequences of insufficient staffing limits. Finally, we will review actionable recommendations for developing and implementing policies that promote safe working limits, ensuring a healthier work environment for nurses and improved outcomes for residents.

Attendees will gain valuable knowledge on crafting and implementing robust policies and procedures that ensure safe staffing levels for reliable resident care while prioritizing nursing staff safety, health, and well-being.

Education Certificates:
Licensed Nursing Home Administrators: ECRI is a Certified Sponsor of professional continuing education with the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and will request approval with NAB/NCERS for this webinar.  As with all NAB/NCERS credits, state licensure boards have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses especially those deemed corporate or private.

As a NAB approved sponsor, ECRI is required to report credit to the CE registry, and will do so for those long-term care licensees that provide a CE registry number.  This is voluntary.  ECRI cannot record attendee CE credit to the NAB/NCERS repository without a NAB CE Registry number.  For more information, please visit www.nabweb.org/ceregistry.

Licensed Nurses: Through our Provider, ECRI will request approval from the California Board of Registered Nursing for one contact hour for this webinar.  Registered Nurses requesting California Board of Registered Nursing certificate should select “yes” to this question during registration.  They do not need to provide any additional information.  At the conclusion of this program, only qualifying individuals that attended the full program will receive a certificate that lists the pre-approved credits earned for this webinar.  Attendees may use this certificate to apply to their individual professional licensing Board of choice.

Continuing Education Credit Qualification Requirements:
• Each long term care administrator licensee who participates in the webinar and will be requesting NAB/NCERS education credit must include their state license number, state of origin, and (if utilized) NAB/NCERS CE Registry number during registration
