The role of a nurse leader combines essential nursing, leadership, and business skills. Nurse leaders serve as role models who have the ability to influence their organizations at all levels and help enhance the quality of life for both the residents and the staff.
This 7-week Virtual Nurse Leadership Training Series presented by Affinity Health Services, a LeadingAge PA sponsor, will concentrate on the clinical aspects of nurse leadership and help equip participants with the skills and knowledge required in their leadership roles.
The curriculum of this program includes critical skills for effective nursing leadership:
- Survey management
- Abuse, neglect & exploitation regulatory requirements
- Reportable events- State and federal reporting requirements
- Role and responsibility of a unit manager
- Survey preparedness
- Conducting a thorough investigation
- Foundational systems for clinical success
CEU Info
Kairos Health Systems, an affiliate of LeadingAge PA, is an approved Provider by the Board of Registered Nursing, State of California (CBRN). This continuing nursing education activity is designated for 7.0 contact hours.
Credits are based on every 60-minute session. A credit request form must be completed at the conclusion of the series.
