Wendy Johnson
Q: What’s your favorite season and why?
Fall is my favorite season. I like the structure the school year brings, the vibrant fall colors and fall baking. I enjoy decorating for Halloween and Thanksgiving along with baking with apples and pumpkin.
Q: What movie can you watch over and over again without getting tired of it?
I can watch several ‘chick flicks’ and Christmas movies over and over again…The Sound of Music, The Blindside, Pretty Woman, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Bridesmaids, Bride Wars, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation, Christmas with the Kranks and more!
Q: Who is the most famous person you have encountered? What were they like?
I had the pleasure of meeting football greats, Vince Papale (Philadelphia Eagles) and Rocky Bleier (Pittsburgh Steelers). Both gentlemen were friendly and down-to-earth. I’m a proud Pennsylvanian with my football alliances with Penn State (We are…) and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Q: What is your favorite family dish?
My homemade brownies are to die for; ask anyone who has had them. I’m happy to share the recipe. I like to cook and love to bake.
Q: What drew you to working in senior services?
Working in senior services is important to me since my family has had good experiences in long-term care over the years. The senior population is under serviced and underfunded. I want to make a difference in the lives of my loved ones and others. There’s longevity in senior services; none of us are getting any younger.
