Plant Operations Specialist with Presbyterian SeniorCare Network
Curt Fischer recently retired after 33 years as Mechanical Director in charge of maintenance, construction, and security at the Presbyterian SeniorCare Network Oakwood Heights facility located in Oil City, Pennsylvania. With his years of experience and outstanding leadership abilities, a different perspective was brought to the Emergency Preparedness Network Integration Team to support the Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s approach to safety preparedness and life safety.
Mr. Fischer served as Chairperson of the Long-Term Care Subgroup and Co-Chair of the Executive Board. Due to his outstanding leadership and knowledge, he was appointed Chairperson of the Northern Tier Health Care Coalition. Mr. Fischer is the first Chairperson to hold the position from Long-Term Care in Pennsylvania. The Northern Tier Health Care Coalition is responsible for 11 Pennsylvania counties (Cameron, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Venango, and Warren.) The Northern Tier Health Care Coalition consists of 17 Acute Care Hospitals, 47 Long Term Care Facilities, two Psychiatric Hospitals, one Rehabilitation Hospital, EMS services, Hospice, and Home Health. Mr. Fischer is a certified ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) active shooter trainer. He will continue as an independent consultant providing ongoing support for the Presbyterian SeniorCare Network’s emergency preparedness efforts and support the Network’s efforts in the areas of construction, preventive maintenance, life safety, and survey readiness.
