Q: What’s your favorite season and why? My favorite season is definitely spring. When the trees start flowering, the weather starts to warm, and the days get longer, it’s hard to not to feel an extra dose of hope and optimism (in spite of allergies!)
Q: What unusual food combinations do you really enjoy? Hot sauce on popcorn…if you’ve never tried it and you’re a fan of hot sauce, you should definitely give it a try.
Q: What topic could you spend hours talking about? Don’t get me started on film history, theory, and symbolism unless you want to have a really long, passionate discussion!
Q: What drew you to working in aging services?
I was drawn to working in aging services because I wanted to be in a field that helps and serves others. For years, I watched my grandparents benefit from their experiences moving through the care continuum and I deeply appreciate all of the people
who played a role in their aging journey. Our loved ones deserve the best as they age and I feel honored to help make that happen.

As Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, Katie Andreano is responsible for direction and execution of the Association’s public relations, communications, and marketing efforts in order to provide members and related parties with information
that is relevant and consistent with the Association’s priorities.
Before joining LeadingAge PA in 2022, Andreano dedicated her career to helping non-profits achieve their missions through creative and strategic communications. Most recently, she served as director of communications at member community, Messiah Lifeways. A graduate of Messiah University, Andreano earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with an emphasis in film and media arts.
