Expanded service at White Horse Village will empower resident choice
(Newtown Square, Pa.) — Home care services are crucial to allow older adults to remain independent as long as possible, and White Horse Village, a senior living community in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, is launching a new program to offer even more support for residents.
White Horse Village has been collaborating to provide some of these services through an outside vendor. Now, the organization is partnering with the HomeCare Advocacy Network to enhance an in-house program called White Horse Village Home Care, adding resources to help residents with daily tasks like bathing and dressing, companionship, assistance with household tasks, medication reminders and more.
“The HomeCare Advocacy Network is renowned for creating a model to deliver relationship-driven care to seniors,” says Michael Shaw, White Horse Village president & CEO. “They will give input on the program as we develop it, part of our ongoing efforts to empower residents to make informed decisions about their futures.”
White Horse Village will incorporate current team members with experience in companion care services into the new home care model, while growing the team with additional caregivers.
“HomeCare Advocacy Network’s expertise will be important as we create this in-house program,” Shaw adds.
The HomeCare Advocacy Network, inspired by its founders’ experiences caring for a family member, emphasizes dignity, respect, and relationships.
“We are thrilled to partner with White Horse Village, a premier senior living community that shares our vision for elevating home care services,” says Mark Goetz, CEO of HomeCare Advocacy Network. “This collaboration marks our most significant partnership to date, creating unparalleled opportunities to enhance the lives of seniors while expanding HomeCare Advocacy Network’s impact in the industry. Together, we are redefining relationship-driven senior care—prioritizing meaningful connections, personalized support, and a commitment to helping older adults thrive while aging in place.”
