LeadingAge PA awards $27,000 in education scholarships to members
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (July 6, 2020) - LeadingAge PA, the voice for nonprofit senior care in Pennsylvania, is pleased to announce $27,000 in education scholarships has been awarded to members through the 2020 Education Scholarship program.
The Association is dedicated to the education and workforce enhancement efforts of member communities, and commits $100,000 annually to scholarship and internship programs. LeadingAge PA awards scholarships that enhance opportunities to pursue or continue a career in senior services.
"Our members go above and beyond to provide care and support their communities, this year in particular, and we are thrilled to award scholarships to deserving staff members dedicated to growing and expanding their professional opportunities in the senior living field," said Adam Marles, LeadingAge PA president and CEO.
The LeadingAge PA Educational Scholarship program is part of the Association's ongoing efforts to address the workforce challenges faced by its members and serves to benefit member staff pursuing further education, training, and certification--both within and outside the field of nursing.
